Find the Shopping Cart

First steps is you want to find the shopping cart that you are going to use for the backrest, this particular cart has a detail I thought would look great for arm rests.

If the bottom has a swinging function, clean and weld to keep from swinging.

Legs/ Base

This base was created with scrap metal I would suggest finding something to use at your local dump or yard sale. The sterdier the better! The next image is a mock up of how the back and legs will sit together.

Seat Covering

The next is a yellow basket cut out of another cart, you can use this from your existing cart, I used it from another cart because yellow is my favourite. Cut the wire basket until satisfied on your seat cover. I have tide the seat cover to legs using a couple of zipties. As well grinded off some paint and welded the seat to the legs.

Magazine Holder From Child Seat

Cut and weld your magazine holder to the back. As you can see i've used the part from the cart that usually holds children or smaller groceries. The function of open/closed still works but if you prefer you can weld it opened so it stays opened.

I've added a stronger base to re enforce the weight you can avoid this by using stronger heavier legs but I do like the base, if placed outdoors it can be easily covered with soil/small rocks.

I hope you enjoyed this funny chair Thank you!
