Silence Your XBox One Wireless Controller LB RB Buttons

XBox one controllers are extremely loud! Especially the RB and LB buttons, their clicking noises are loud enough to wake up a baby next room. I am gonna show you how you can silence them.

This is my first instructable and I am sorry for the lack of details. Basically we will stick a rubber band inside the controller.

Note: Buttons will be a little bit mushy and harder to press after this mod. But it is completely enjoyable and playable.

Rubber band (Ideally silicon because synthetic ones dry out so you need to replace them after a while)

Open the XBox controller enough to see the buttons in the picture. You do not need to remove the PCB, just removing the outer case is enough. You don't need to puncture the sticker you can peel it remove screw and close stick it back again.

There are 5 security screws (Tamper-resistant TORX). I didn't have proper screwdriver so I broke the pin in the center with a knife and used a 1mm hex screwdriver.

Stick in the elastic band between the plastic trigger and the button on PCB as shown. Cut the excess.

Test how it sounds and whether is it working or not you might need a thinner or thicker elastic band. When you are satisfied with the result you can put the controller back together. Happy gaming!
