Skull Bread

Who doesn't like yummy warm bread fresh out of the oven on a cool fall day? This caught my eye on Pinterest and I thought I would give it a try. It's super easy, tasty and fun to make. Really!

Ingredients

The skull cake pan was purchased on Amazon for around $10. You can also find similar ones at the big box stores, like a craft store, around Halloween.

As for ingredients, it's very simple:

  • (2) Large Can Biscuits
  • Olive Oil
  • Pesto
  • Spray

Prep for Baking!

Spray the pan and coat all the sides. Preheat the oven to 350 F.

Mix the Pesto With the Olive Oil

Put 4-6 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil into a bowl. Add a tablespoon of pesto. Mix them together.

Slice Biscuits

Since this will be pull apart bread, cut the biscuits into quarters. There will be lots of them!

Coat the Biscuits

In small batches, coat the biscuit pieces with the pesto/olive oil mixture. Be generous! You may need to add more olive oil and pesto to finish all the biscuit bits.

Fill Up the Pan With the Coated Biscuit Pieces

Place the biscuit pieces into the scull pan. Make sure they are evenly spaced. It really fills the pan but they all fit.

Bake in 350 F oven until golden on top. Make sure to place the pan in the middle of the oven. They take about 15 minutes or so to bake.

Flip Over Onto Serving Plate

Flip the biscuit pull apart bread out of the pan and serve. Now is your chance to really go for it. Serve with pizza sauce, cheese, chili or your favorite dip. It'll be gone before the trick or treaters even get to your door!
