Small But Comfortable Living Quarters
Creating this living quarter comes with many requirements. For example, Making it small to complete the requirement of this project. Another is that it has to be small but it also has to be comfortable.
Supplies
To create a replica of this project you will need many different supplies for example.
- A Computer that is compatible with the Inventor software
- The Inventor software with a account on Inventor.
- A 3d Printer to print out the product.
The Base
First you want to create the base of the entire structure. You do this by selecting a new sketch and creating a box that has a length of 180 in, width of 87 in, and a height of 72 in. (This is all scaled to real life size, It can be scaled down in the printing software to fit in the printer. 1/32.) After that you want to cut out a box that is 177 in in length, 84 in width, and 72 in height. This will create your hollow shell of the house and will extrude two walls for easier movement. It should look like the second picture but without all off the furniture.
Adding the Bathroom/shower
You want to start off by making the base of the shower. You will have to create a ledge that is 1in high all the way around to make a barrier, so the water does not get out. This will go around at a length of 37.5 in and a width of 30 in.. After that you will create the toilet. When done with that you create the shower head and the small shelves. You will want to make a drain hole to drain out the water. When you are done with all the stuff on the inside you will finally create the outside wall and doorway. Use the measurements in the picture.
Creating the Closet
You will create the closet by making a box that is 46 in in length and 17 in width beside the shower. Then you will proceed to extrude it by 65 in. After cut out the the boxes needed to the measurements shown in the picture.
Creating the Kitchen
When making kitchen you will make a long box that is 95 in length, 20 in width, and 30 in high. After that you will make the cut outs to make the sink and you will create the faucet. You will also need to create a stove beside the sink. When done with that you will create the shelves in the counter which you can do by looking at the picture with the measurements. When completed with this you will create the fridge that is 20 in long, 25 in wide, and 65 in high and add the details after.
Making the Bed
When creating the bed you will start off by making the base which is 75 in long, 38 in wide, and 16.75 high. Then proceed to cutting under the bed to make the legs. After that round out the top edges of the bed and create two wonderful looking pillows.
Final Steps
Finally you can go ahead and add the walls back and small details like cutting out some windows and cutting out the door area. When done with this you can print. since the model is scaled to real life structures you will need to go in and manually downscale it by 32X. And you should have a final product like the picture included.
