Smart Robo Cleaner

Mopping or brooming (Cleaning) the floor is one of the time consuming processes and hence is a problem for many people.So I have proposed this prototype to make the work of the people easy. This smart cleaner does not need any supervision.You just need to push the switch.It will do the work on its own.As soon As the work is finished,the robot will switch off.This smart cleaner will be programmed using Arduino.

The Base

The Smart Robo Cleaner's Base is made of Bamboo and its wheels are made up of rubber.Bamboo is a sturdy material which also is not affected by water.I have chosen this material as an alternative for plastic.

Obstacle Detection

The cleaner is fitted with an ultrasonic sensor to detect the obstacles in front of it.The ultrasonic sensor is fitted with servo motor in order to have wider movement of ultrasonic sensor.

Movement of the Cleaner

The Cleaner will be moved with the help of the gear motors fixed at its wheels.The gear motor will be controlled with the help of motor controller.The motor controller will be further connected to Arduino.

Movement of the Mopper

The Mopper or a small broom will be moved with the help of the A.C (Alternating current) Motor.

The Switch

There is a switch on the robot besides the ultrasonic sensor.When you turn the switch on the cleaner starts to do its work.When all its work is done the robot will automatically switch off.

A Big Advantage

The cleaner will come with a LCD screen and a remote control also.You will just have to enter the average Sq ft of your house using the remote control and the robot will do its work. It will automatically switch off after the work is done.There is no need for supervision.Also the robot can be controlled with the remote control with the help of the buttons provided on the left and right ride of the remote control.Hence it becomes a big advantage for old and handicapped people.

This Smart Robo Cleaner will make the work of the people simpler and easier and hence will save their time.Also the older as well as the handicapped people will have a huge benefit.Approximate price of this robot will be Rs. 5000 to 6000 Rs. ($50 to $60).
