This will be how to create a small wire bonsai tree.

Supplies

First, you start off getting your supplies, you need about 90-120 feet of 24 gauge wire, a pair of needle nose pliers, some wire cutters, a 2ft long piece of cardboard, a small(ish) rock/crystal, some super glue, and some tape or some zip ties.

Step One: Making the Wires

We'll start with unwrapping the wire from the spool it comes on, and re-wrapping it onto the cardboard.

The piece of cardboard should be about 18-24inches long, depending on how much wire you have.

Once you wrapped the wire around the cardboard, use the wire cutters along the wire where it went on the edge of the cardboard
then, try to not get the wires all messed up around each other. If it gets made into a tanged mess, take a few minutes to straighten them into one organized lock.

Step Two: Tie It Together

Use a zip tie about 5 inches from one of the ends to keep it together. (I used some spare wire but I recommend using the zip tie. Also put more length on the short side than I did in my example)

Step Three: Making the Branches

twist the longer side of the bundle of wires, only twist about 3-4 inches away from the zip tie.

After that, split the wire bundle into 2 subsections, twist a few inches on each of those, and split the wire bundles into 2 more on each end, twist another few inches but make sure it is less than the length of the branch before it. continue that cycle until you have only about 4-7 individual wires on each branch.

Step 4: Creating the Leafy Ends.

Wire wrapping

once you get to that step, grab your needle nose pliers, and start wrapping them like you see here.

continue doing that with all the loose wires, roll them together, like how you see in this video.

Step Five: Attaching Tree to Rock Base

Start with spreading the bottom inches of wire below the zip tie into 4 sections, then bend the wires around the rock

and then bring the 4 sections back together in the middle of the bottom of the rock, use your plier to twist them together to hold it. once you get the wire sitting around the rock how you want it, apply super glue to the wires that are near the base of the rock.

Step Six: Super Glue the Tree to the Rock

Once you get the wire sitting around the rock how you want it, apply super glue to the wires that are near the base of the rock.

Let the super glue dry, once dry, use the wire cutters to snip off the wires that are on the underneath of the rock.

Step Seven: Cut Off Wire From Bottom or Rock

For this step, use the wire cutters to clip off the wires hanging below the rock, so that they are even with the base of the rock.
