Snowy Forest Cake

This tutorial will show you how to make a snowy forest cake! :)

Chocolate and Chestnut Cake Recipe

Chocolate and chestnut fondant:

-220g flour

-200g butter

-6 large eggs

-1 teaspoon vanilla extract

-2*500g Chestnut Spread

-200g dark chocolate

-4 tbsp almond powder

-50g granulated white sugar

Place chestnut spread in batter bowl. Melt chocolate and butter in microwave. Then add the chocolate mixture to the chestnut spread and mix until smooth.

Beat the eggs in a seprate bowl yolks with 30g granulated white sugar.

Add 4 tbsp of almond powder and 120g flour graduately to the chocolate mixture. Add the eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the chocolate mixture. Whisk (by hand or electric mixer) for 2 minutes, until smooth.

Pour in two greased cake tins.

Bake for 30 minutes in a 365 degrees F oven (180 degrees C). Then reduce the temperature to 302 degrees F (150 degrees C) and let the cake bake for another 10 minutes. Let cake cool in oven.

For this step you will need:

-ice cream cones

-50g chocolate

-1tbsp vegetal oil

-sugar beads

-coconut flakes

-coarse sugar

Melt chocolate with vegetal oil and cover ice cream cones in chocolate.

Sprinkle ice cream cones with coconut flakes or sugar bead (or super pretty coarse sugar!)

Let It Snow...

For this step you will need:

-100g chocolate (I used milk chocolate)

-30g butter

-coconut flakes

Melt 100g chocolate with 30g butter.

Cover first layer of cake with melted chocolate and place second layer on top. Spread chocolate on top and sides of cake and sprinkle with additional coconut. Carefully place your snowy trees on top of cake.
