Sock Doll

This creation was inspired by the sock monkeys. I have always been interested in sock monkeys and just the image of them, they just seem cool and mysterious, so I had to do my on spin on them.

Gathering Material

Gather all your materials: Socks, Scissors, Stuffing, Thread, Needles, and anything else that you want to use to decorate your creation with.

Take a tube sock and starting at the end where you put your foot in cut directly in the middle until you get about an inch from the heal of the sock.

Sewing

Begin sewing the sock but not all the way. Start sewing around the ends of what will be the legs of the doll, but be careful not to sew it all the way up, leave some room for you to stuff it.

Making Arms

Now you will have to make the arms. If you have an ankle sock take one of them and cut it in half. After cutting it in half you should sew each one up but leave a opening at the end so that you can attach them to the body of the doll.

Arm Holes

Make sure you cut one hole on each side of the dolls body so that you can sew the arms on. Once that is done sew the arms on.

After sewing arms on the doll you can start stuffing the doll with anything that you like, I chose stuffing material that I purchased at Wal-Mart. After your done stuffing the doll you should sew it up.
