Solar Night Light
I was inspired to do this project based off the "Home-made Sun Jar" from cre8tor. Though their version was very economic, I only had a dollar and a need to make a battery powered night light.
Materials
- Solar garden light from Walmart I found for $0.97.
- A jar of some kind. I have some baby food jars that I washed out for just such an occasion.
- Glue gun (not pictured).
- (Optional) String
Disassembly
Pull the pole off of the solar light.
*Keep an eye out for a "pull tab" to activate the solar light.
Attachment
Attach the light to the jar by any means that you may have.
I had a glue gun so I used it to attach the light to the jar.
Attachment (part 2)
Check the "snug-ness" of the glue to the jar. It should dry fairly quickly.
At this point, you are officially complete with your nightlight; however, you may feel the urge to ornate your light with some string or ribbon. If so, please continue reading.
Decorate
Attach some string or ribbon of your choice using hot glue (and patience... and calluses).
