Soldering Station

IMG_1352.jpg

This morning I was thinking about printing something usefull and I realized that the soldering reel I use is very heavy and I always make a mess when I unrolle it, without mention... I lose the paste avery time ...

So this is what I came up.

Hope you like it!

3D Model

I designed everything in SolidWorks 2013 and then exported as a .stl file.

With the help of a Vernier I took the measurements of the soldering reel and the diameter of the paste.

Whit this I ended up with an 80x100 mm base.

I'll leave the links so you can download the .stl

I'm not sure this is the name for this...but anyway!

For this you will need a spring, or not?

This is optional, I made a hole on both sides to fit a small spring so you can close it, put it int place and the pring will do the rest, like those ugly toilet paper holders (I do not have the copyright of the last image)

But without a spring will make its job as well.

Final Step

Now just put the bolt together inside the reel and then put it in place and you are done!

I hope you like this instructable, let me know if you have any questions.
