Sourdough Cheese Biscuit (Scone)
This is a really delicious and cheesy scone and you are sure to love it.
Please leave a comment and pic if you make this super yummy scone.
Ingredients to Make the Ferment
To make the cheese scone you will need:
- 135 grams of flour
- 35 grams of Sourdough Starter
- 150 mils of water
- 1 cup Cheese (grated)
- 2 teaspoons Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 50 grams Butter
Add flour, starter and water in to bowl and give them a good mix together. Cover with a tea towel and leave at room temperature overnight.
Continuing With the Ferment Base
Put the fermented mixture into a clean bowl and add the butter and baking soda and give it a really good mix.
Adding the Cheese and Vinegar
It's time to add the cheese and vinegar and mix well.
Baking
We lined our baking dish (ramekin) with baking paper. Pour in the mixture and top with more grated cheese.
Bake in a 180 degrees C or 356 degrees F oven for 40 minutes or until nicely cooked.
Ready to Eat
Once they are baked remove them from the oven and let them cool for 5-10 minutes.
Best enjoyed fresh from the oven with butter, but also great the next day and reheated for 20 seconds in a microwave.
Hope you enjoy these.
