Served warm with butter, this sourdough garlic and parsley bread is a delicious lunch!
Ingredients
For this bread you will need:
- 135 grams of flour
- 35 grams Sourdough Starter
- 2 teaspoons of minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon of parsley
- 150 mls of water
- 50 grams butter
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
Mixing
Add the flour, sourdough starter, garlic, parsley and water to a bowl and give it a good mix then leave it to ferment overnight.
More Ingredients
To finish off the bread you will need:
- 50 grams melted butter
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
Adding and Mixing
Transfer the fermented mixture to a clean bowl so you don't get any dry dough in the mix. Add the butter and baking soda and give it a really good mix through. Once that is done add the vinegar and mix it thoroughly.
Baking and Eating
Tip the mixture into a lined loaf pan and bake at 180 degrees C (356 F) for around 40 minutes. When baked, remove the bread from the pan and leave to cool on a rack for 10-15 minutes.
Now it is time to indulge in some delicious garlic and parsley bread.
Pro tip: Try adding a small amount of grated gruyere cheese to this loaf.
I hope you enjoy this lovely bread.
