Space Saving/Vertical Gardening Project
Though this is not my original idea I took this and made it my own. I bought a 12x32" plant cage, 1 yard of burlap, vegetable soil & a red potato from my kitchen. I started with one just to see how well it works and so far its great.
I had the potato in our cupboard for a few weeks until it started growing eyes (roots)
Simply stake the cage into the ground and wrap the burlap on the inside over lapping to support the soil. Add soil loosely and just under the top planet the potato.
Water daily for a month then every other day.
Once the top reaches over 2' (foot) the plant is ready to harvest.
