I was looking through the Instructables site and came across the "invention challenge" And I thought that's going to be a tough one Inventing stuff is damn hard.

But as I thought about it, maybe I'm over thinking this, just solve a problem differently to everyone else and it could lead to an invention.

The best thing is, I already had a problem... I have just built a new kitchen and when I went to fit the dishwasher it had this enormous valve on the end of the hose. It called an Aqua-stop and its suppose to stop your house from flooding if the hose should come off your dishwasher or washing machine.

The Problem is, the hose has to go through the cabinet but I didn't want to cut a huge hole in the bottom of my new cabinet.

I look on the internet.... No help there. I asked a plumber, he didn't know what I was talking about. So After a bit of thinking, this is what I came up with

3D Printed Spit Grommet

So it pretty simple really, Just print off the grommet (I did it in black as I run out of white filament) Use a 75mm hole saw to cut a hole in the cabinet, hook up your hoses and fit the grommet. The sides of the hole push Up against the grommet and ensure a tight fit.

Job done. Looks tidy and there is no gaping hole around my hoses.
