Spooooky Sharpie Pumpkin!!!

Tis a cold fall night... The moon shines brightly, slightly illuminating the dark objects that stand before you. You look down at a sack by your side filled with the finest sweets in the land...
yes, this is Halloween!
now, to properly be prepared for this wondrous night, you will need a pumpkin. I'm not just saying a boring plain pumpkin mixed with some gourds on your porch, I'm talking about a Spooooky Pumpkin!

Gather Your Materials!

For this project, you really only need two things to spruce up those ol' Pumpkins.
Sharpies and Pumpkins.
You could use acrylic paint, but it is harder to work with and might flake off in the weather.
I found that a regular, black sharpie is the best, along with some assorted colors.

The Major Shapes and Lines

As an artist, I have a lot of experience with drawing faces. Frequently I draw on my friends notebook covers.
Anyway, the first step I always start with are the eyebrows and nose. Remember, this is a Spooooky pumpkin, so you may want to make a furrowed brow and a dastardly nose.
After that is done, it is time to draw a big smile on him. Or frown, depending on your face. Once all that is done you can draw the outline of the eyes.

Finer Details

After those main foundation details, you can now add some finer stuff. Do things like dimples and wrinkles and eye shadow. Remember to shade the more important lines to really emphasize them.

Finishing Touches

After all that, add some finishing touches, like colored eyes, colored mouth, hair, accessories, etc. You could cut a notch in the nose and stick some sunglasses on him, or cut out the mouth and add some vampire teeth. Be creative!

You're Done!

After all that, you can finally display your wonderful creation. Plop it on the porch, keep it inside, do whatever! Remember, because you didn't actually cut anything, it won't rot!

I hope you had a fun and time reading or doing this project, and I hope you check out my other Instructables !
