Squares and Triangles Decoration Box

IMG_1593.JPG

Nice and easy project to make an impressive decoration box.

Can be made in different sizes. (I actually plan to make another one a bit smaller, maybe half size, to put next to this one)

All parts are glued. no screws or nails.

Cut the Pieces

I got a big Plywood board from work and I cut out the pieces from it.

6 pieces of 30x30 cm Squares

8 pieces of 30x30x30 Equilateral triangle

Grind the Edges

Need to grind a bit the edges to get more surface touching when the pieces are attached.

As you can see, I used a low quality plywood. But even with that it ended up to be a very nice box.

Gluing and Finishing.

Start gluing the pieces together.

Start with a Square flat down and add two triangles and another square between the two triangles.

Note: the angle between each two squares is 90 Degrees.

May need to support the parts with tape on the outside or in a different way.

Apply the glue from the inside.

Let it dry for few hours before continuing with more parts.

Once all parts are glues, send it and paint with any color you prefer.

The finished form is very solid. It had no problem holding my wight sitting on it.
