Staining and Finishing Pine Windows
In this video I show how I stain and finish pine windows. With pine, blotching is already a problem and to get the best results you want to use a coat of pre-finish or a one pound shellac cut. I did not do this because the windows are made with premium straight grain pine. After finishing many pine projects with variable results, I think I have arrived at a technique that produces the best results possible with pine. In this video I use General Finishes Gel Stain (Brown Mahogany) and General Finishes Arm-R-Seal satin finish. I then wax the crap out of it and burnish the wax to get a high luster shine that doesn't look plastic. Thanks for watching
