Stencil
Print out the image (size it to how you want), and cut it out. Trace the edges onto masking tape, and put the tape on your shirt. Once you've done that, cover the rest in grocery bags by cutting them open and taping them to the edge of your stencil.
*N.B.: the freezer paper method would probably work as well. I don't know hoe well the edges would hold up though.

Bleach
Stick a piece of cardboard or a Trader Joe's bag inside your shirt. Put 2 parts water and 1 part bleach into the spray bottle (you don't need much). Using safety gear with bleach! Spray once on the design up close, and once from farther above it. Wait until its an orangey-peach color, peel off the masking tape, and rinse thoroughly. Dry, the put the stencil back on (garbage bags aren't necessary) for painting.
Painting
Painting is a little hard to write up. Basically, to get a galaxy, you should put white and yellow in the middle, and blend outwards, ringing it with other colors. Look p some reference pics and let the cosmos inspire you! Add stars, both in dots and crosses. Really, the painting is up to you! Once you finish, take off the stencil.
Touch Up
The bleach may have leaked through the masking tape. Just take a sharpie or some black paint to cover it up. And voila! you are done! Now boldly go in your brand new trekkie shirt.
