Stecklein-How to Make Walnut Brownies
In this instructable, I will teach you how to make a delicious yet easy to make dessert. Walnut brownies can be made from scratch using basic kitchen ingredients. Be careful when using walnuts in your dessert though, many people are allergic so its best to tell them whats in your recipe.
Materials Needed:
Baking pan
Pam cooking spray
Small stove-top pan
Large mixing bowl
Mixing spoon or beater
Measuring cups
Mallet for chopping walnuts
toothpick
Ingredients:
-1/4 cup of butter
-6 tablespoons of carob powder
-1 cup of white sugar
-1/4 teaspoon of salt
-1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
-2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
-2 egg whites
-1 cup of chopped walnuts
Getting Started
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F
Spray pam or another cooking spray onto an 8in by 11in baking pan
Spray pam or another cooking spray onto an 8in by 11in baking pan
Melting the Butter
Melt the butter or margarine over low heat on the stove in a small pot
Mixing Ingredients
Pour the butter or margarine into a large mixing bowl along with the carob powder, salt, flour, sugar, and vanilla
Removing Yolk From Egg Whites
Crack egg whites into separate bowl. leave yolk out by continuing to pass the yolk back and forth into each half of the cracked shell until all egg whites have dripped into bowl
Stirring the Batter
Mix egg whites and walnuts into large mixing bowl already full of other ingredients. Stir until all remains of powder have disappeared.
Baking Time
Spread the batter evenly into the baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes, continually check with a toothpick to make sure brownies aren't burnt.
Yumm!
Once you remove brownies from oven, let cool for 10 to 15 minutes before cutting. Then enjoy!
