Stick + Coal : the Minecraft Torch of Protection

I wanted some extra light here, so I decided to build a torch. While looking for the colors, i stumbled upon this model on ThinkGeek. it looks really nice, but my need for light is only on a metaphorical level. I kept it simple: print the model, cut and glue. Voilà!

Pixels in this model are 1" wide and the dimensions of the finished torch are 2" x 2" x 10", but you can resize the model before printing.

1. print your model on a tabloid paper (11" x 17"),
2. optional step: depending on the rigidity of the paper you printed on, you might want to glue the print on a cardboard, something like a cereal box. 
3. follow instructions and cut slightly inside the printed area.

Flip the model, align the ruler with the folding lines and score them with the back of the knife's blade. Applying excessive pressure might damage the paper. Fold along all the created grooves, no need to over-bend.

Apply a thin layer of glue, especially if you're using a water based glue because the paper will warp. 
Gluing areas in the indicated order will ease the assembly.
You don't have to wait until the glues dries between each step, just make sure it holds in place.
Use a pen or a similar tool to apply pressure in the spots hard to reach. 

The base is made to fit a piece of a half inch foamcore (2" x 2 5/16")  i had available. You can also use a piece of wood, or simply use a tape. Do not hesitate to offer a torch to those who might need one.
