Stocking Labneh? what? Well you would have never thought. Making Cheese using a a type of underpants. Its like the song Mr. Clickety Cane although it is 100% super delicious!! So lets get down to business, the stocking is used as a cheap and easily accessed muslin cloth. It is a great alternative due to the fact it has a good texture and also it is heaps more easy to handle. I hope you enjoy making this delicious labneh!!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt (per piece of Labneh)
  • Tarragon Leaves, to serve

Preparing Your Stockings!!

This step is arguably the easiest of the all. All you need to do is start by cutting the foot part of you stocking only up to the ankle (or a bit more if you like) or 10cm up.

Filling Your Stocking

I have to say the names of these steps sound like it is an instructable on how to be Santa (don't worry it isn't!!). For this step you need to start by wrapping your stocking over the cup so it is easier for you to fill (demonstrated in the image above). After, you have done that place your yogurt in the top of your labneh, take it out and form it into a bowl.

Chilling Your Labneh

To chill your labneh you need to start by tying your stockings onto your wooden spoon (demonstrated in the pictures above). After, you have finished doing that, balance your wooden spoon over the bowl so that the excess liquid can drip into the bowl, then you need to leave it overnight to chill.

Serving You Labneh

After, your labneh has chilled, carefully untie your stocking off the spoon making sure you keep the beautiful shape of the labneh.; Then, you need to take your balls of cheese out of the stocking onto a serving dish. After you have done that top with a little bit of tarragon and you are good to go!!
