Stop the Bothersome Binocular Bounce
For the birdwatcher there is nothing more annoying than the binocular bounce. As you hike through a pine forest looking fora red crossbill or quietly moving through a marsh seeking a yellow rail--each step swings your binoculars out and then they swing back hitting your chest or belly. Very bothersome. But, with a few things found in a desk drawer this problem is easily solved!
Supplies
Spring paper clips
Rubber bands
Make a rubber band chain long enough to fit around your chest or belly. Leave the band loose until final fitting.
On each end of the rubber band chain attach a spring paper clip
With your now completed anti-bounce strap--place one clip on one side of the neck strap put on the binoculars and clip on the other side of the strap. At this point add or remove rubber bands until you have good fit. That is that your Binos are snug against your chest or belly yet easily pulled up to your eyes. Flip the sliver part of the clips together to lock it onto the strap
