Strawberry Mango Lassi

Don't we all love summer for it's warmth, it's sun and especially for it's delicious fruit ? Of course we do and since and so warm we all need some refreshments, thats why I'm going to show you how to make a Strawberry Mango Lassi (no not the dog). A Lassi is a traditional joghurt based drink from India. This is a take on the most common form of the Lassi.

Gather the Ingredients

You'll need
  • about 4oz of strawberries, cut
  • a ripe 9oz mango peeled and cut
  • half a cup of joghurt
  • the juice of a lemon
  •  6 ice cubes
  • a 1/4 teaspoon of ginger powder (optional)
  • 3 teaspoons of icing sugar (if fruit arent ripe enough)

Cut the strawberries and juice the lemon.

Put the strawberries and 1 tsp of lemon juice and blend. (If wanted add of tsp of sugar now). Then pour in two glasses.

Slice the mango and put it with the jogurt, the rest of the lemon juice, the six ice cubes and optionally the ginger and two tsp of icing sugar in the blender. Blend.

Add the mango mixture on top of the strawberry one.

Decorate with some mint leaves and enjoy.
