In this short but sweet instructable, I'll show you how you can cut up the sides of your t-shirts to make them stylish and cool. Alot of people at my school do this to their t-shirts that they buy for fund raisers or events that the school is holding, and I thought it'd be cool as a short instructable.

This is a no sew project, So all you need is a desired T-shirt, and a pair of scissors.

There are two different ways in which I have seen these cuts executed at my school. From what I can tell, there is a way for guys, and a way for the girls. Each will be described here.

Don't forget to VOTE if you enjoyed this instructable, or just found it useful.

Making the Cuts: Male Version

Take your T-shirt and lay it so that one of the side seams is on top, with the sleeve right above it.

Male Version: Starting at the bottom of the shirt, make cuts going horizontally about 6 inches long, maybe half way or more up the shirt. I made my cuts about 1 1/2 inches away from each other. After this you may want to cut off the sleeves, but I left mine on. Do this for both sides and the male version is complete and you now have your new shirt!

Making the Cuts: Female Version

Female Version: Repeat the process as in the Male version. Starting at the bottom of the shirt, make cuts going horizontally about 6 inches long, maybe half way or more up the shirt. I made my cuts about 1 1/2 inches away from each other. After you've cut these, re-cut them. From the bottom, cut straight up through all of the 1 inch wide pieces of cloth, changing them from one long piece to two short pieces on either side of the shirt. When you've done this, just tie them back together! You can tie them in a bow if long enough, or just knot them. It's that simple! Repeat for the other side and your done.
