Sunday Morning Waffles in a Cup of Coffee
Ideally, the start to everyday would feel like Sunday morning. A latte, fresh waffles....but that is not my reality. So I wanted to create the feeling of Sunday waffles in an iced latte that could be enjoyed on Monday or Tuesday, Wednesday, actually any day or time.
Supplies
Cold brewed coffee, skim milk, heavy cream, maple syrup, Eggo flavored milk, coffee ice cubes
Favorite coffee glass, drip coffee maker, milk frother
Coffee and Coffee Cubes
The goal of Sunday Morning Waffles in a Cup of Coffee is recreating that easy going feeling of Sunday morning, so actually on a Sunday I make a large batch of cold brew coffee. When I am brewing my Sunday morning coffee and the coffee is already on the counter, I measure 1 1/2 cups of ground coffee into a large mason jar and add 3 cups of water. The joy of cold brew is that's it, it can just hang out on the counter for 12-24 hours. I always seem to brew more coffee than I actually drink, so I pour the rest into ice cube molds. Shaped ice cubes are FUN and when they are made of coffee the ice will not dilute your drink.
Strain the Coffee
Before I go to bed, when I am programming the coffee maker, I use the reusable filter to strain my cold brew. I love the shape of old fashion milk bottles, they just seem to make a quick latte more special.
Sunday Vibe on Monday, Actually Any Day
Monday is my favorite day for a special latte. However, speed is crucial. So. grab your favorite glass.

- Drizzle some maple syrup on the ice cubes
