Super Cute Pencil Holder

This pencil holder is made out of a tin can and it is made to look like a little tree!

For this pencil holder you will need...

Brown paper

Hot Glue Gun and Hot Glue Sticks

Markers, I used brown, black, blue, yellow and orange.

Scissors

Tin can

I know that that is a silly sentance, but no kidding. Do you really want month old beans mixed in with your markers? I thought not.

Place the can down on the paper on its side and then roll it up in the paper. When you reach the end make a mark about 1 in. from where the roll is complete. Also mark about 1 in. from the top of the can so that you have a little breathing space. Cut along the lines.

Now the fun part! draw lines that look like bark of the tree by drawing straight lines and hear and there making a knothole by drawing around a cirtan spot so that is makes a bump. Leave a good chunck in the middle un-drawed upon so that you can draw the owl later on.

This is were you draw the owl, go back to that one chunk that you left undrawed and draw a circle in it. in that circle draw an oval, then color the inside of the circle, but not the oval, black. Draw two circles and then fill them in exept for a blue dot this is the eye. Then draw some fethers on the little guy. Give him some claws so that he can hold on to the tree. And finnaly finish drawing the wood on around the owl.

Now here we go! as you roll up the can, glue along the way so that it stays right on. There should be about an inch or so of paper at the top of the can, glue that down too.

Now use this little guy to hold of your pencils, pens, or whatever you want!
