Super Powered Juice With Frankincense!
I LOVE making juice in my old school Jack La Lanne juicer. Last week, Northern Florida experienced some chilly near freezing temps. There was even some snow flurries for the first time in a long time. The crazy low temps prompted me to pick a majority of my oranges off the old orange tree. The oranges were ripening faster than I could eat them, so making a super juice was only natural. Furthermore, this vitamin packed juice would incorporate the super power of Frankincense!
Gathering Your Ingredients
So, I don't think any two of my homemade juices made are exactly the same, but they all share the same basic ingredients. Typically I make my juices based on what I have on hand.
This juice (two 16oz servings) was comprised of:
4 carrots
8 to10 home grown oranges (store bought will work too)
about 4 leftover strawberries from my wife's super food salad (LINK)
2 drops of Frankincense (Boswellia essential oil) in each glass
I added the Frankincense because my wife is really into doTERRA essential oils and I was fascinated by the health benefits of it. Note: Frankincense has been proven to be safe for consumption, but if you are pregnant or under the care of a doctor, you should consult your physician before use.

So this is a pretty simple process. Turn the juicer on. Place a paper towel and glass under the spout, now you're ready to juice. I start with the carrots because I like to use the pulp in other recipes or add a little into the juice. It is easy to just dump the pulp out of the clean bin before I start juicing other ingredients that would get mixed into a large heap of indiscriminate pulp. Next juice the strawberries because they don't flow very well and can use that extra push of the next ingredient to help get every last drop. Lastly juice the oranges, juicing them last helps to clean up the machine since they flow so well. Note: the ingredients list is for two glasses if you are making one serving cut in half. Each glass contains 2 carrots, 4-5 oranges, about 2 strawberries, and 2 drops of frankincense.
Enjoy
This juice is very tasty and has lots of health benefits. Note: Frankincense essential oils are very potent and a little goes a long way. It does blend well with citrus, but using more than 1 to 2 drops could overpower a drink. Also, it tastes exactly like it smells.
The oranges provide lots of vitamin C, B1 and A. Other important components include; pantothenic acid, folate, calcium, copper, and potassium. All this helps to improve the immune system, cardiovascular system, reduces cholesterol and prevent kidney stones. Research also shows oranges prevent cancers of the mouth, throat and stomach.

Strawberries are proven to help with cardiovascular support and the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. They also help to improve regulation of blood sugar, and decrease the risk of type 2 diabetes. Research shows that strawberries may help in the prevention of certain cancers, to include breast, cervical, colon, and esophageal cancer.

Last, but not least, the Frankincense. There are many documented benefits of Frankincense, to include the lowering of blood pressure, improving brain function, relaxing the body and preventing/curing depression. Frankincense is a sort of panacea, or cure all.
