Surprise Hidden Glow Nightlight
This is a Hidden Glow Nightlight inspired by a "Mario Block". It glows after you turn the light off but invisible when the light is on and the light charges it.
Supplies
For this project I just used a tape measure, my laptop computer, a micro-sd card, and my Creality 3D printer
Measure the Light to Be Fitted
The first thing is to measure the light I'm putting the nightlight on with the tape measure.
Design in Tinkercad
Take the measurements to the computer. In Tinkercad I just imported a Mario looking block and sliced off the top of the block leaving only a thin lay remain. Sized the thin block top to the measurements I gathered earlier.
Slice for Printer
Imported the Tinkercad STL file in to a slicer program,(I used Cura) sliced to my printer, (Creality Ender3) load the sliced file on to the memory card.
Printing Light
Put the memory card in the printer, selected the file, loaded the translucent, glow in the dark filament in to the printer's extruder and watched the show. The print takes 2hrs.
Lighting Up the Night
After the print is finished, pop it off the bed and take it to the light we measured] and snap it on, sit back and enjoy the glow.
