Survival Debate
This is not a how to but I think this is a good discussion. Please comment. Here is a list of some things I think you do not need in a survival pack. This is NOT a 72 hour sos pack
Compass. If your lost and have no map why do you need to know the direction
Glow stick. Flash light is better because you can turn it off and on. I you use the glow stick for signaling and the plane flies past you and you use it it is a waste
Hammock/tent. I have seen a few people have these but I think a ho made shelter or a tarp would be better
Food. If you think a piece of gum or some rice or bars are gonna help you your wrong. I would rather replace that space with some more snare wire fishing stuff or slingshot This stiff will last longer and you food thou packed will run out.

Tip
Wrap your fishing line around the bottle and it is easy to cast and retrieve
