Did you know that braiding can help retain the length of your hair? No? Well, it actually can; Braiding has been around for many years. Most people can do dutch braids, french braids, and even fishtail braids. But what about a suspended Infinity braid? It may sound complicated, but I can promise you it's not. So in these step-by-step instructions, you will learn how to make a suspended infinity braid.

Brush and Start

Using your hair brush be sure to brush all the tangles and knots out of the hair.

Start from the bottom of the hair when brushing. This will help get the knots out more efficiently.

You can use detangling spray to help get the knots out.

Grab a section of hair in the front of the head. Run your fingers through the hair creating three strands of hair.

If you need to, practice holding the three stands of hair in both hands. Make sure when you are holding the hair, you're holding the three strands close to the head. This will help the braid to be tighter and stay in longer.

Then once you are comfortable holding the three strands proceed to braid.

Then drop the rightmost strand down (red strand), add in a new strand of hair (purple strand).

Move the new strand (purple strand) over the middle strand (green strand). Then take the new strand (purple strand) and go under the leftmost strand (blue strand). Drop down the new strand and repeat the steps that were done on the other side.

Continue these steps all the way down the head.

Once you get halfway through, you can use any clips needed to keep the strand from loosening the braid. This will also help not mixing up the strand you drop with the other strands.

Fixing Flaws

With the bobby pins, be sure to fix any loose hair under the braid to make the braid look better.
