DIY Swirly Stud Earrings

In case you like wearing simple jewelries, these earrings will be perfect for you! They're fairly easy to make, won't cost much and look nice as well. And... this one's probably my 13th swirl-themed ible :p

To make these simple stud earrings you'll need:

1. Craft wire - 18-20 gauge,
2. Jewelry pliers,
3. Eraser or rubber,
4. X-acto knife.

Hold the wire from an end,

Leave 2 cm of the wire straight and then make a loop by using the looping plier.

Circle the wire around the loop 3-4 times to create a swirly pattern,

Do not use the 2 cm part of the wire to make the swirl, this will be the stem of the earring

After making the swirl, flip it around,

Rotate the 2 cm part of the wire to 90 degrees,

Cut the wire from the the bundle,

Notice the end of the swirl, slightly bend and carefully push the end inside, at the back of the earring.

You can cut the stem to a comfortable size

You can use an eraser or rubber to make the earring backs.

Use x-acto knife to cut the eraser or rubber into small square pieces.

Carefully screw and push the stem of the earring into the small eraser pieces to create a hole in it.

The back is ready!

Wasn't that easy? You can use different colored craft wires for variation, the silver one is my personal favorite. Using beads of stones may also be a good idea. In fact, I've made a pair with beads, you may read the tutorial to learn how to make stud earrings with beads.
