THE TREE OF PEBBLES
Another hot humid summer was here, this meant annual house cleanup. While cleaning up, I found a bag full of pebble, so I thought it would be great if I could add a piece of art to the walls of my house.
Thus, here it is: The tree of Pebbles :)
Supplies
You will need:
- a wooden plank (any size which you want)
- oil paint
- paintbrush
- gloves
- different size and color pebbles
- few tree branches
- hot glue gun
- glue gun's glue stick
- black marker
- scissors
- pencil
Gather Your Supplies
Gather all your supplies and get a wooden plank of any size which you want. Thoroughly clean the wooden plank by removing any dust with a damp cloth. Let it dry for a moment.
Paint the Wooden Plank With Oil Paint.
After cleaning and letting the plank dry, carefully apply oil paint while protecting your hands with gloves. Apply a lighter coat so that it still has that woody look.
Make the Trunk and the Branches of the Tree.
Collect some twigs form any garden or orchard. Remember the tree should be of same color, so pick same color twigs. Arrange the twigs -thickest lies in the center and represents the trunk, and thinner ones represent the branches- leave at least 1 inch distance between the branches of the tree. After being sure with the arrangement of the twigs, stick them with a glue gun.
Place Your Pebbles
Now start arranging pebbles the way you want. It can be alternating, complimenting anything which you think looks good. Don't not place the pebbles too close or too far, ideal is 0.5-0.8cm distance between each pebble. After arranging glue your pebbles with a hot glue gun.
Add the Cats!
Now add bigger pebbles at the bottom of the plank, by using glue gun. Select a place and glue oval or elongated pebbles there, as the body of the cat. Now for the face use more circular pebbles. In the end, draw the tail, ears and mustache of the cat with a black marker.
And your The Tree of Pebbles is ready.
