So i used to have an old school traxxas stampede and i usually drive it around but i have a traxxas slash and i use it a lot.cut the story short i put the 2 together to create project (rockslide).

Building the Rear Mount

so as you see in the pictures above i used scrap metal from the garage

materials
sheet metal (12 inches by 2 and a half inch)
screws
traxxas slash
rear part from a slash or stampede
motor (550 turn)

TOOLS
power drill
3/16 drill bit
(BRAINS)!

So first step is to mark your holes for mounting the sheet metal to the bottom of the truck.
this step of the drilling you need a sharpie and a tape measure
1:place the rear part of the gear box above the sheet metal and mark your holes 2 inch across and about 1/ virticual
or something (use your brains)
2:repeat step 1 with a bit of improvising

Building the Upper Support Bracket

100_2732.JPG
100_2734.JPG

this is the important piece from keeping your truck from bending at the lower bracket and breaking

TOOLS
drill
drill bit (13/64)
wire feed welder
protection

MATERIAL
metal (4 and 3/8 long and 1 3/4) wide)
right angle bracket (4 inch long and 1 inch tall)

so you need to drill the holes for the right angle bracket the holes are (2/ inches apart and half a inch up.
now mount as seen in the 2nd picture and get the 4 3/8 long piece and drill a hole as seen fit to the build and hole placement.
now the fun begins, with a sharpie mark the position in the right angle peace and get a wire feed welder and weld the peaces together then grind down and spray paint .

The Electronics

so as the final step you will be mounting the speed controller to the rear motor

TOOLS
hot glue gun

COMPONENTS
speed controller
splitter

so first step is to get off the cover to the receiver box and connect the splitter cable to the 2nd channel and run the speed controller cables int the receiver box and connect them to the splitter and plug in a batter pack to the speed controllers and test
2nd step is to glue the speed controller to a legit place you see fit

CONGRATULATIONS YOUR DONE WITH THE MOST BAD ASS PROJECT EVER!!!!
HAVE FUN
