Tabletop Wooden Puzzle

Hello, welcome to my instructable! Today we will be making an easy tabletop puzzle. I would like to mention that this is my first instructable so please give me some feedback.

Let's get started!

supplies

• 1/2 inch plywood(doesn't really matter how big)
• wood glue
• acrylic paint
• patience

tools

• bandsaw
• carpenters square
• pencil
• clamps
• 6' hole saw
• 41/2" hole saw

Connect the 6" hole saw to the drill. This part is pretty simple.

Cut 2 6" circles with the 6" hole saw. You want to slowly push to hole saw onto the wood. The wood can be pretty hard to get out of the hole saw, so be prepared to take out a pencil to poke it out.

Use the 41/2" to cut a hole in one of the 6" circles. Keep the cutout and the frame from the 6" circle you will need this later.

Pencil your design on the 41/2" circle you just cut out. Try to not make it too complex or it won't cut out. This is a very simple design. You're welcome to copy it or make a new design. You may want to go through multiple designs so make sure you pencil them out on paper first.(the original design for this was a moon)

Time to cut with the band saw. Sorry I don't have more photos of this. We started by cutting the largest piece(the valley). Then we cut out the sun rays and sky pieces.

Glue the frame to the first 6" circle. Put it in a clamp and wait. After this is done sand the edges of the frame.

Paint the parts and assemble them. Paint it anyway you want, be creative!

This project took about 2 hours. Hole saws are pretty expensive so if you don't have one see if you can borrow any. I do not own a band saw but I have a friend who does.(of course we didn't really see each other[the band saw is in their garage] we are still quarantined). The plywood was left over from another project.
