Have you wanted to have tandoori chicken...but just couldn't find that sachet...not in your kitchen drawer...and definitely not in the supermarket!
Ever wondered what could be in that sachet? what is that secret ingredient?
Well...to be honest...it's nothing special...you can find it all in your kitchen...and it wouldn't cost you the time energy and money going hunting for that elusive packet. :-D

You ask me..' what makes your recipe special??' I shall answer..'.the continues request for us to provide the tandoori chicken for any pot luck or barbecue should be proof enough!' haha

That Secret Ingredient?...not So Secret :-)

Hmmm.....well read the list...yes...nothing extraordinary...as some would have you believe :-) ...but the combination of these ingredients produces something delicious!

1 chicken cleaned

3 tbs oil
3 tbs chilli powder ( 2 tbs if you want it less spicy)
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
20g   ginger & 1  whole garlic well ground to a paste
4 tbs  full  curd/ unsweetened yogurt
2 juice of lime
1/2 tsp saffron
2-3 drops of red/ orange food coloring ( sort of a redish orange...if you don't have that...red would do)

Marinade

Tandoori chicken barbecue style is fantastic.
Place a foil over your grill.
Place your marinated chicken on it and pour a generous amount of marinade on top
Once it has cooked well...you may now place the chicken directly on the grill.
