Tattooed Candles

Whether you use it at a romantic dinner, as a wedding centrepiece or as a classy halloween piece.

This is the perfect instructable to add class to simple cheap decoration.

You are going to need:
- A thick candle, the one on the picture are great because they let the light trough which really brings out the image you put on.
- A sheet of temporal tattoos.
For valentine you can pick one with numbers and/or letters to put your anniversary on the candle. Or use something like hears or flowers.
For a beach themed party use palmtrees, for Halloween spiders or bones.
- A wet cloth.

For mine I used tattoos from the local Ghent startup Montattoo, they have a lot of sheets designed by actual tattoo artist, like the left one in the picture. I like the idea of supporting tattoo artists even when I'm not ready to get an actual tattoo.

Cut out the tattoos you want to use an think about the best way to place them on your candle.

A candle is a bit harder to apply a temporal tattoo too than skin.
So when you follow the instructions given with the tattoos, bear in mind it might take a bit more time than advertised.

- Place tattoo on candle
- Put wet cloth on it for twice as long as the instructions say (in my case one minute)
- Peel paper away with care, so you can put the cloth on a little longer if it didn't quite stick.

You can now enjoy your dinner or party.

And what I really like about this type of decoration, it burns up, so no need to have boxes full of plastic decoration cluttering your house. Just decorate with some really fancy candles.
