Taut Line - Evil Cue and Rude Finger Mnemonic

This is what most of my knots look like. So I needed a way to make a useful knot, but also a way to remember it with a simple mnemonic. The mnemonic is lame, based on the fact that the taut line looks like a fist making a rude gesture with its middle finger.

Supplies

Rope
Something stationary to attach to (the metal leg in the upper part of the photos is used for this 'ible)

Start With a Q

Create an UNDERHAND Q. If you can get this part right, the rest of the steps are pretty easy. To help you remember that the taut line starts with and underhand Q, think of an UNDERHAND, evil person stealing your pool CUE (homonym for Q) and you hope that they get CAUGHT (rhymes with taut).

Make Some Fingers: Two

Wrap the working/tag/fuzzy/Q-tail end around twice, making sort of 2 fingers of a fist.

Under Like a Shrew and Poke It Through (*)

You can see the shrew goes under and pokes through its own hole, resembling an inappropriate salute.

(*) i have an alternate verse for this stanza but it would render an R rating
