Telescopic Sticker Applicator for Less Than $10/€10
This is a device that lets you put stickers in places high up. I only used stuff I had lying around the house, but all the parts can be purchased for really cheap.
It's telescopic so you can easily carry it with you.
Supplies
1. A telescopic back scratcher. I used the one in the picture, but even a different model should work, as long as its telescopic. I got mine for less than $2, this is a common thing found in cheapo shops like the dollar tree, 1 euro shop and so on.
2. A binder clip like in the picture, with the two metal arms. It has to be nice and big. I used the 1.5 inch one because that's what I had.
3. A sponge or bit of foam. It has to be soft so you can squeeze it. It is best if this is a little larger than the sticker you want to apply. The non-sticky side of the sticker should slide on it easily.
4. (optional) A tiny bit of tape, in case things don't quite fit.
5. (optional) Glue. I used hot glue from a glue gun.
Please don't buy any parts from Amazon.
Let's Make It!
My binder clip was a little too small. I taped the three middle fingers of the scratcher to make it fit. If you used the larger binder clip then you can skip the tape.
Next, clamp the sponge or foam to the fork. The sponge will be on the outside of the scratcher-hand.
Finally, you can glue together the parts for extra strength. This is optional, the clamp is pretty strong already. Not using glue means you can swap the sponge and clip when you want to apply smaller stickers.
How to Use
Put the sticker with the picture toward the sponge, and the sticky side facing out. Put it so only a very small part of the metal clamp holds down the sticker. The sticker should release easily.
Now apply the sticker by pushing the bottom part to where you want to paste it. Then slide the tool up, so the sticker releases from the clamp.
Finally, use the sponge to rub the sticker onto the surface.
It's cheapness becomes clear at this point. The top part may twist as you're rubbing the sticker. It's also not very good for smaller stickers. But you can swap out the sponge and binder clip with smaller ones when you want to apply small stickers.
