Terra Cotta Patio Light

These lights bring a nice warm light to your outdoor living area. Terra cotta is a durable material that can withstand the elemets and it still adds a relaxed garden feel to your evironment.

Materials

-Terra Cotta Pot: 4 inches
-Terra Cotta Saucer: 5 inches
-Small Candle

NOTE: you can also choose a larger pot and saucer, its 100% up to you.

Tools:
-Dremel Tool
-Grinding stone bit (#84922)
-Tile cutting bit (#562)

Draw Your Design

Once you have chosen your design, draw it or trace it on the outside surface of the terra cotta pot.

NOTE:  the bottom of the flower pot is now the top.

Cut 'n Grind

Now using the tile cutting bit and your dremel, start the cut by grinding into the pot at a 45ish degree angle, once you have cut through the wall of the pot, continue on cutting out your design, keeping the dremel at a 90 degree angle.

Once your pattern is all cut out, then use the grinding stone bit to smooth the edges of your cuts.

Now, place the small candle in the middle of the saucer and then cover it with the inverted terra cotta pot.

Step back and admire your work,
good job
