The Creek: 2011
Every several years we get something called El Nino. This El Nino causes heavy rains and clouds that come from the Equator. The heat and sun causes the water to evaporate. that's how clouds form. And the winds there changes directions and pushes the clouds thowards us (well, some of them). I live right outside of Salinas, CA. We live next to a creek that joins with another creek. And when they met it caused rapids. When the consruction workers built a brfge over the two creeks and where they met. They put boulders on the creek bed. When the water came, it went flying all over. The rapids were so strong, you could hear those boulders rolling down the bed. It was pouring cats and dogs when we took the pictures. So...the camra lens was covered with fog, it looked like someone dumped a tub of water on us, and especialy, The bridge was a quarter mile away from our house. We live in a place called Calera Canyon in the country. Here is some pictures for you to look at. Hope this kind of gave you an idea of what country is like and what El nino is (if you didn't even know).
