The Hexa Bridge

FInal bridge.png

This is the Hexa Bridge; a pedestrian bridge over a lake connecting the two most significant sectors of a city, shortening the time to walk from one sector to another. My name is Aadyant, I'm in 9th grade and am the creator of the Hexa Bridge.

Supplies

MY supplies are mainly online but here they are:

  1. 3 CAD Softwares - Onshpae, Tinker Cad, Blender. I used onshape for the main outline, I used tinker ca to fix the dimensions. And finally, I used Blender for arrangement, applying textures, creating the environment and rendering.
  2. Poliigon and polyhaven for the textures
  3. Sketchfab for the city background

Taking Inspiration

I took inspiration from the multiverse traveling portal in Spider-Man Across the spider verse for the main shape of my pedestrian bridge.

Building in Onshape

Then I started building in onshape. I used a bunch of tools like Transform, shell, extrude, sweep, and helix. After this, I just did some measurement changes in TinkerCad and then moved on to rendering.

Adding Textures and Rendering in Blender

Finally, I added texture of marble and metal, got a city layout, created a lake, set up the camera, set up the lighting, an hdri background, and finally did the rendering.
