The Metal Snake

A very cool metal snake for your desk.

What You Need

Wire of your choice, side cutters, pliers, a hammer that is flat on the bottom, a glove, a hard surface to hit against, and a grinder.

Cut the Wire

Cut the wire 9 to 12 inches long.

Make the wire as straight as possible.

Bend to Your Choice

Hammer It

Hit the wire hard with the hammer till it flattens out. The wire must be bent to the way you want it to look when you are finished before you flatten it out with the hammer. It heats up by hitting it, so I put on some gloves.

The Head and Tail

Flatten out the head to an oval shape. If it is uneven, take it to the grinder to smooth it out. The tail must be a pointy shape but smooth.

Finishing

Bend the snake to give it depth so it's not just a flat piece of wire. Hope it was fun!
