The Monster Book of Monsters

Every Harry Potter fan knows Hagrid. He teaches at Hogwarts and has his own very peculiar teaching style. With such a style, there are bound to be a few dangers, but no one would expect them to come from a textbook. The Monster Book of Monsters is an icon to fans everywhere.

Gather Supplies

The first thing you want to do is gather your supplies. You will need:

  • 3 or 4 large googly eyes
  • 4 square feet of red felt
  • 4 square feet of brown fur
  • A storage book or a book-like container
  • Brown paint
  • Hot glue
  • Gold glitter glue
  • Scissors
  • A paint brush
  • A trash bag

With the brown paint, cover the four smaller sides with brown paint. This may require two to three layers. When this is done, paint the outer rim of the cover of the box.

Add the Fabric

On the front cover, apply hot glue and add the fur. Smooth it out so there are no wrinkles. Do the same to the spine and the back cover.

With the remaining fur, cut two strips large enough to cover the sides. Apply hot glue, then add the strips.

Take three or four googly eyes and hot glue them to the front cover. Cut out another strip of fabric for the eyebrow and hot glue it on.

Cut two semicircles out of red fabric. Hot glue small, white paper diamonds on the back of the semicircles for teeth. Wait for it to dry and then hot glue it on the opening. With the last bits of fur, put two strips covering half of each semicircle.

Enjoy!
