The Moon & the Stars for Me..!

To all of you bright people out there in the world. It is a beautiful short story about the Moon & Stars that we all see each night and my story is for all children who look up and see the beautiful Moon & the stars including the Sun. But my story goes through and tries to explain where all of the Moon & Stars come from and how as a child we can float and see all of these beautiful things and all of the things that mother and father try and teach us along the way.

To Begin With,

Getting started on a brand new kids book from scratch. I have never written a children's book so it is all new to me. But the fist step coming up with a good name for your book. So I went and did search for the best kids books and it brought up a list like you would not believe so I went through the list and seen what the majority of the books were named and I had an idea for the name of my book anyway. And I seen the majority of the best kids books were animal books and then there were some space books. So I thought The Moon & The

Stars For Me would be a great name for a kids book. The only writing I had done thus far was when I was a teenager and that was then and this is now. And I am quite a bit older now than I was then, now 48, and then anywhere from 12 to 15. So you get the idea. And the only thing I had to work with was my my computer monitor, and my computer keyboard and my computer webcam. So these were the only thing I had to work with on this project and I almost forgot my brain, Laughing Out Loud. You all get the idea anyway, right.

Being a Child,

When I look up I see the moon & stars for just me. I wonder where all of these comes from. So I asked my mother and father where all of the moons and stars come from and they both told me that God created the Moon and the Stars. So I said well ok. He must be pretty impressive to be able to create all of these beautiful things called the moon and the stars. But I look up and I can imagine myself floating in the sky where I can touch these beautiful things called the moon & the stars. So I am floating along and I come across the moon and it is so big and bold and light spots and dark spots on the moon and so big and beautiful the moon which I have floated up to see. And then all around me is all of the beautiful stars. So I start to float around to all of the beautiful stars which I can see. And oh my there are just to many for me to float and see but there is some close stars as my Dad has told to me. And the first star is what my Dad calls the Sun. And he tells me that the sun is burning and that all stars are burning is why they are so bright and the reason why we can see the sun in the daylight. But all of the other stars are burning as well and that is why we can see the other stars at night. And there is 3 closet stars to the earth where we all live. And they are my Dad calls Alpha Centauri so I floated off to see the closet star to the earth and I call it Alpha Century just to make it easier on all of us to remember the names of these closest stars. And as I float near the stars I see how bright they are to me and I feel the warmth of the fire on these stars so I cannot get to awfully close to these stars because if I get to close they will burn me and I do not want to get burnt do I because like your parents tell you fire is dangerous and we do not want to play with fire do we. Because that is what Mother and Father tells us so we have to agree with them because they are boss aren’t they. So I get as close as I possibly can and oh how beautiful the star is but there is just not one there is actually 2 stars bound together by what my father calls gravity so there is both A and B stars together and they are both extremely beautiful and I cannot get to close to these stars remember because they are not only bright but they are extremely hot remember because like my father say’s they are burning and we don’t play with fire so I cannot get to awfully close but how beautiful the stars are together and it is really neat that these 2 stars are bound together with what my Dad calls gravity. So neat and so marvelous and amazing and finally breathtaking. And the next closet star my Dad calls and it is a little harder to name it is called Proxima Centauri so we will call it approximate Century so it is easier for us to remember that way, OK. And oh my it is so beautiful as well and oh so warm to remember it is burning so we cannot forget that so we do not float to close the stars and get burnt we do not want that remember mother and father says fire burns and we do not play with fire do we. But oh my how beautiful and how big the star is and so bright and hot because it is fire remember. So I am now floating back to the Moon which half of it is light and half of it is dark and the reason for that is because Dad say’s half of it is in the dark because only half of it can be lit up with the Sun which is on one side but not on the other so that is why half of it is dark and half of it is light. So pretty amazing how all of these things work together and I would really like to walk on the moon and be able to see everything but my Dad say’s if you walk on the moon you would have to have a suit on so you can breathe because there is no oxygen for us to breathe on the moon and there is no gravity to keep us on the moon so that is another reason we would have to have a suit on so we would not float away like I have done tonight to see the beautiful Moon & Stars for me to see. And as I float back to the earth which is beautiful for me as well. I reach the earth to be with my beautiful parents who take such good care of me. And I get back to the earth and I can see the beautiful Moon & Stars for me, but they are not just for me they are for all of us to see and admire every night so when you are looking out at the night sky you too can have the beautiful Moon & Stars for you to see and you can float off and see the Moon and Stars every night that you are out as well. So don’t ever feel left out because you too can float off and see them yourselves. So have fun and think about me when you are out there floating about.
