In this instructable, I will teach you how to create a cool painting using a pendulum motion.

Supplies

Supplies:

1. Paint Bucket(normal paint) 2. Canvas 3. String 4. A hook to screw into the ceiling 5. A hook to connect to the paint bucket 6. Tarp

Screw in Hook

Screw the hook into the ceiling.

Attach String and Second Hook

Find string strong enough to hold a paint bucket and attach one end to the hook in the ceiling and the other end tie onto a different hook(this is where you will be attaching your paint bucket).

Lay Down Tarp

The Most Important Step. (Watch Video If Confused)

1. Poke a hole in the bottom of your paint can

  • Make sure the paint is thin enough that it is coming out in a steady stream. If not, you can add some water to make it less thick

2. Now swing the paint can in a circle over your canvas. Because of gravity, the paint can will work on its own by shrinking the circle inward, creating a very cool looking effect. You can decide how many times you want to change the motion of the pendulum.
