Tin Foil/popsicle Stick Cooler

It’s been a while since I last made something and when I saw the tin foil challenge, I thought that it would be fun to try it.

Tin foil

8 large size popsicle sticks

Around 50 normal popsicle sticks

Shingles

Leather

Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Balsa wood 6 inches long

let’s get started! The first thing to do is to glue the 8 large popsicle sticks into 2 SEPARATE squares. Next cut the shingles into 4 pieces the size of the squares and attach them double layered

cover the shingled squares with tin foil. You may wrap as many times as you like,(I did around 2). Then glue the balsa wood pointing up to the center corners of the square,(see the photo for help). Glue 8 of the small popsicle sticks, 4 to the bottom and 4 to the top of the balsa on the four sides.

Add a strip of leather to one of the top popsicles sticks. This will be the hinge. Glue 2 small popsicle sticks to that and the opposite side. Then 4 or 5 on the top of half of them.

put 4 sticks on a lang strip of tin foil, wrap it a few times then attach it to the hole in shelf to be the lid of compartment for the ice to be held. Glue the rest of the foil around the shelf. Next attach the rest of the small popsicle sticks to the sides of the cooler. Try to glue in all of the cracks so it wont leak.

glue the leather securely around the Popsicle stick walls. Then attach to lid to the hinge.
