TinFoil HeatSink on a Stove Boost Performance

the plan is to use tin foil that is made in aluminum.

this material is a great Heat transerer.

the plan is to recycle an old gas tank and use aluminum to maximise the efficency of the fire.

lets start taking an empty gas tank.

but you can use any thick metal container.

after filling it completly to the top with water i can cut a sqaure hole on the side

in these case we can use a plasma torch.

or just a simple angle grinder.

now that the hole that mesure 17cm x 10cm is made we can start to close the side of it using some scap metal bars.

this step will create a small frame that will help per seal the hole we just made,

use a mig welder to close the hole

we need now a glass door. a perfect source is a broken led Light, this glass will reasist fire heat without problems.

we can weld 2 small hinges to spen and close this small door.

its not crucial to havea perfect sealed closed door.

infast this will be the air intake that will bring oxigen to the fire inside the stove.

a 8cm diameter Stainless steel pipe is now placed inside and will work as chimney

now we can taka 10m tinfoil and cut pieces.

this will work as a heatsink and will boost the performance of this small stove.


infact the larger is the surface. tho more heat will spread in the room,

to heat up the stove i just pour 1 cup of bioalchool that burns without any smell. 

this is a common alchool sold for proper stoves.

no smoke is produced.

But as all alchool stoves is crucial to change air room after some time.

never use this stove in the night without supervision,

just follow logic rules and common sense.

open window after sometime so you don t risk to burn all the oxigen you have in your room

thanks to the big heatsink made with ceap aluminum foil i was able to heat the room in 1 hour.
