Tissue Mount (Dorm Life)

This is the third of many ways I have thought of to save desk space in the dorms. For the past two years I have been using toilette paper rather than tissue paper for blowing my nose because I feel I can maximize my paper use. I don't know of any toilette paper holders for dorm desks, so needed to make one.

Requirements

A. 12 inch metal ruler
B. Empty marker
C. Wood screw, washer, screwdriver
D. Charmain Ultra Soft Mega Roll ( I'm a Costco shopper )
E. Tape

Bend Ruler, Empty Marker

I bent my ruler at the 1 inch mark. I placed it under a piece of wood, stood on the wood, and pulled up. I'm sure there are an infinite number of ways to do this.

Take the back cap off the maker and remove the ink cartridge. This might not be necessary, but I already had an empty marker from a different project.

My ruler has a hold to hang it. I used this to insert my wood screw and washer. Screw into the back of the marker.

Now find a shelf type ledge to tape it up.

Another more elegant way to mount it is to tape down a couple 1/2"x1/2"x1/32" magnets down the length of the shelf . The ruler will then hang from the bent portion and cling to the magnets.

I use my toilette paper roll for anything I need to wipe up: spilled super glue, cereal, anything really. I don't actually use it for it's typical use though, hmm.
