Todoroki Inspired Painting - My Hero Academia
My Hero Academia, my favorite anime. It basically follows the story of Izuku Midoriya, who is training to be a superhero in a superpower filled world. For those who watch the anime (or read the manga or both) then you know who Shoto Todoroki is. His power is half-cold half-hot. So I decided to take Todoroki's quirk and create a painting based off of it. The painting uses half hot and half cold colors, plus the UA logo. I hope you enjoy making this masterpiece!
Supplies
- A few pieces of paper
- Rectangle canvas - I used a 5 by 7
- Paint palette
- Water jar - filled halfway
- Paper towel
- Medium mop brush
- Small angle brush
- Black paint
- White paint
- Yellow paint
- Orange paint
- Red paint
- 4 various shades of blue paint
- pencil (optional)
Set Up Your Paint Palette and Workspace
Lay out the paper so that you don't have to clean up paint that gets on the table. Also put a small amount of each color onto your palette.
Paint the Half-Cold
Use your various shades of blue and create streaks the flow down from the upper right corner. DO NOT RINSE OFF YOUR BRUSH WHILE DOING THIS! When you are finished, you may rinse out your brush. Then take some white and put in some streaks. Then rinse your brush and dry it off.
Paint the Half-Hot
Start in the lower left corner with white. Then make a gradient going from white to yellow to orange to red. Make sure to leave a line of black canvas between the half-hot and half-cold. You can rinse your brush off in between colors.
A White Line
Use white paint to make a distinct line between the two parts. Once finished, let the painting dry.
UA Logo
First, either use black paint or pencil to make the outline of the UA logo. Then use the black paint and your small brush to fill it in and let dry.
Completion!
You have officially finished you Todoroki themed My Hero Academia painting! Enjoy your masterpiece!
