Transform Your Old Boots Into Fashionable Furry Boots.

 Are you tired of your boring old snow boots.  Want something new and fashionable.  Well here's a way to change up your look without freezing your feet.  This furry cover can create a whole new look that is very easily added or removed without damaging your boots.  

1 pair of boots
1/2 yd. of furry fleece
1/2 yd. of cotton muslim
6 buttons
Embroidery floss
Sewing machine
Tape measure
Ruler
Paper
Pencil
Scissors for both paper and fabric

 Using a tape measure record the height of your boots by measuring from the mouth to the ankle, the circumference of the mouth, and the circumference of the ankle.

 To create a pattern draw a line the length of your boot height creating the side seam.  Divide the mouth and ankle measurements in half and use the new measurements to draw lines at the top and bottom of the first line.  Using your ruler draw a line connecting the two new lines together.  Once you have created this shape add 1/2 inch seam allowance to the top bottom and side seam edges.  At the other side edge add a one inch overlap plus 1/2 inch seam allowance.

 Using your pattern cut four pieces out of the furry fleece and four out of the muslim.  Sew the furry pieces together by matching one side seam to another.  Next sew the muslim together at the side seams leaving a two inch hole for flipping.  You should end up with four pieces.

 Next with right sides together sew the muslim lining piece to the furry fleece.  Repeat to second piece and flip right sides out. Wait to sew up the hole in the lining until you have created the buttonholes.

With the embroidery floss form buttonholes: one on top, one in the middle, and one on the bottom of the side seam with overlap.  Knot two pieces of floss together at one end of the floss and with a needle put them through the seam with the knot inside.  Knot the floss with the half knot shown below until it is long enough to allow the button to go through.  With the needle send the floss back through the seam and knot inside.  Repeat for the other buttonholes and whip stitch the lining closed.

 Using your boot wrap the fur around to find the location of the buttons and sew them on.  You are now finished.

 Just wrap the fur around your boots and button it in place.  You can now enjoy your new fashionable boots.  No longer do you have to stay warm with the same old boring boots.
